Saudi SFDA participates in capturing expired drugs and infants' Milk

Upon receiving a report from one of the citizens, Saudi FDA, represented by Drug Sector, participated in capturing a drug store in Riyadh District in coordination with Riyadh District Police. Several violations were found at the drug store as it contained expired drugs and other drugs that are stored in damp and high temperature place due to water ingress and dust covering a large area of the store, in addition to lack of necessary requirements and measures for drug stores. Also, several cosmetics were found disorderly scattered on the floor and large quantity of expired infants' milk in as well as improperly stored quantities of infants' milk that may make it harmful for infants. SFDA has closed the drug store completely and notified the license holder accordingly, so that necessary disciplinary actions shall be taken against him in coordination with the concerned authorities.
