The Council of Ministers has approved of Water Factories Organization whereby SFDA will undertake the responsibility of Organization, Execution & Monitoring of Water & Ice Factories

SFDA is also assigned the responsibility of issuing technical licenses for these factories and the development and monitoring of the enforced potable drinking water standards . This came as a result of detecting a number of water factories that do not comply with water factories standards and as well, do not comply with the allowed percentage of Bromates in their water products.
The approval was granted after the Council of Ministers’ Session, held this Monday, at Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, Chaired by the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz.
