National Nutrition Committee Holds its Sixth Meeting to Highlight Key Initiatives and Achievements

The National Nutrition Committee (NNC) held its sixth meeting of the second session today, chaired by Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) CEO and NNC Chairman Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey.
The NNC members from government and private entities attended the meeting, which was held at the SFDA's headquarters in Riyadh.
The General Secretariat of the NNC highlighted its key initiatives and achievements up to the third quarter of 2024. It also reviewed the progress of several projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the community's nutritional status.
NNC is a scientific advisory committee that aims to improve the nutritional and health situation in Saudi Arabia. Its objective is to build a healthy society by providing recommendations and scientific opinions to the relevant authorities in the field of nutrition.
NNC was established as part of the SFDA's organizational structure based on Cabinet resolution no. 144, issued on March 5, 2019. Its board of directors includes members from several government authorities, nutrition consultants, and representatives from the private sector.
