SFDA" seizes 9900 kg of expired juice concentrates in Buraidah

SFDA inspectors detected factories in Buraidah having large quantities of expired juice concentrates prepared for production in various flavors, in addition to a food distribution center in Jeddah which imports expired foodstuff.
SFDA explained in a statement, that SFDA inspectors, through their intensive tours to food and water factories, imported food warehouses and stores, and local food production and distribution centers, to make sure of their commitment to terms and conditions of manufacturing, trading and storage, have seized 9900 kilograms of different juice concentrates flavors in Buraidah, and more than 80 gallons of expired food products (Pickles - Grape Leaves - Makdous) in Al Khumrah district in Jeddah city, which were ready for distribution to restaurants, cafeterias and fast food shops.
SFDA noted that it will proceed with the legal procedures to correct all violations and enforce penalties countering of commercial fraud against the two facilities, and all destroy the violating quantities, in coordination with the other relevant authorities.
