D. Alkanhal: Laboratories are Important Factors in the Process of Food Control

The acting executive president of the S.F.D.A d. Mohammed bin Ahmed Alkanhal confirmed that the S.F.D.A is working now on developing national qualified staff who work in food laboratories by making training courses that improve their abilities in dealing with imported food. He mentioned too that the S.F.D.A recently is cooperating with the ministry of commerce and industry in order to evaluate these laboratories from different aspects including the level of human abilities and their training needs.
D. Alkanhal stated during the ceremony of inaugurating a workshop about '' laboratories authorization'' which lasts for two days at the S.F.D.A location, that the S.F.D.A is following a sophisticated plan that seeks comprising several activities gradually like the activity of food controlling laboratories.
It worth mentioning that this workshop comes within a series of specialized ones that held for specialist staff and a German specialist was invited for this occasion as an official spokesman.
The workshop is attended by delegates of: commerce and industry ministry, municipality and rural affairs, health ministry, agriculture ministry, the Saudi Arabia Authority of specifications and standards beside the staff of food sector of the S.F.D.A.
