The SFDA Sent 60 Employees Specialized in Food, Drug and Medical Devices Fields

The Chief Executive Officer of the SFDA d. Mohammed bin Ahmed Alkanhal declared that the SFDA has completed the requirements of sending 60 employees belong to the SFDA several sectors( food, drug and medical devices). He confirmed that a number of distinctive qualified Saudis has been selected to obtain Master Degrees in different pre-selected specializations according to the SFDA requirements from reputable organizations in U.S.A, Britain, and Australia. The SFDA will continue its program of sending employees abroad during the coming four years until it reaches the required number of qualified persons by whom it can perform its duties.
Twenty four employees have been sent to obtain the Master Degree until now; nine of them belong to food sector, six belong to drug sector while nine employees belong to medical devices sector. Moreover, names of fourteen employees belong to the SFDA sectors have been submitted to complete their study requirements. In addition, the SFDA issued the approval of sending eight employees from food and drug sectors abroad to obtain the Master Degree soon.
The SFDA aims to provide qualified national cadre specialized in specific important fields such as: food technology and quality assurance, food sciences and technology, food production management and pesticides remains of food- which are related to food sector. The specializations of drug sector are: biological technology and pharmacology, pharmacology and drugs monitoring, clinical pharmacology, cosmetics, medicinal chemistery, medicine studies, herb medicine, good production practice of medicines, health information, chemical analysis and lab management, while the medical devices sector focuses on biological and medical engineering, medical information, health services management, health economy and health policy, total quality performance and risk management.
D. Alkanhal appreciated the government support( the King and the Crown Prince may Allah protect them) and thanked their continuous follow up and care such as the
recent approval of the respected Ministers Council about joining the SFDA to the membership of Health Services Board to be one of the thirteen member which represent the responsible organizations that offer health care in the K.S.A including the private sector.
