SFDA Passed ISMS Test for the 7th. time consecutively and Renewed ISO 27001 up to 2015

SFDA has successfully passed the international standards ISO 27001 test for the best practices and applications of Information Security Management System (ISMS). This phase of ISO 27001 renewal included additional of new levels to the scope of the certificate including other critical systems of SFDA, where the certificate was renewed for the next three years, until 2015.
The purpose of the frequent security tests is to check and evaluate Information Security activities and ensure its efficiency and continuity by an authorized ISO auditor.
It worth mentioning that SFDA is one of the first government entities which acquired ISO 27001, as it was able to achieve that in 2008 and to maintain it until 2015. SFDA intends to benefit from the approved international standards and specifications in various fields such as Information Security. The purpose of acquiring ISO 227001 is to build an efficient and integrated Information Security System aligned with all government and private organizations, to improve efficiency and quality of the organization and its information security as well as an indicator of the organization’s conformance with the International IS Standards.
