SFDA President Reveals SFDA Strategy to keep pace with the “Kingdom’s Vision 2030

H.E. Professor Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Almishal, Head of SFDA revealed SFDA Strategy to keep pace with the “Kingdom’s Vision 2030” approved by the Council of Ministers- Chaired by The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz- last Monday. He stressed on the importance of excreting more efforts by all SFDA staff and employees, change their way f thinking and performance completely so that SFDA will keep pace with the “Vision” aspiration.
During the workshop on identification of the “Kingdom’s Vision” and how to reflect it on SFDA’s plans and programs, where the workshop was attended by SFDA Vice Presidents, Assistants and Executive Directors; Professor Almishal said,” The Vision is built on productivity, spending efficiency and performance & productivity measurement. This requires all of us to exert various efforts and make a complete change of the way of thinking and performance which means to promote performance of our tasks to a higher level”.
He pointed out that the " Kingdom's Vision 2030 " is considered a re- structuring and arranging of the Kingdom’s directions which is unprecedented since the era of the founder King Abdul Aziz. The Kingdom used to depend heavily on oil to secure the necessities of life , while the " Kingdom’s Vision 2030 " is based on three main dimensions: The Arab and Islamic depth , strength of investment and the importance of its geographic location , in order to achieve the main goals of strong economy, national product and dynamic people.
His Excellency continued: “The Vision has identified many strategies the most important of which is localization of industries, increased investment, increased employment, and elimination of unemployment in addition to many more steps that will contribute to the prosperity of the nation. But to make this vision successful, every one of us must believe in it to produce different results from what we are experiencing today ".
He called on all SFDA employees to increase performance rate to a higher degree than experienced today in terms of production and giving, pointing to the importance of motivation so that everyone will reach the highest level of performance.
Dr. Almishal defined the role of SFDA during the next phase as: Accelerate implementation of performance appraisal policy, based on achievement of objectives. Continue to facilitate SFDA procedures and processes. Increase Transparency and establish a fair appraisal policy that differentiates between best performers and others, in addition, to reward excellent performers.
His Excellency said: “We are lucky that SFDA Third Strategic Plan is in its early stages, so we will make our plan compatible with achieving the requirements and aspirations of the Vision ."
