SFDA and MOI closed out a warehouse due to possibility of nuclear pollution

SFDA, in co-operation with MOI, closed out a warehouse that violated storing conditions of medical nuclear source generators in Riyadh.
SFDA has declared in a statement that its inspectors have coordinated with medical radioactive substances taskforce that included MOI and SFDA specialists in closing out a medical devices and products warehouse because it stored medical radioactive source generators with other medical device and products, the thing that may lead to nuclear pollution of the existing medical devices and products. Furthermore. SFDA conditions for transportation and storage of medical radioactive material strongly restricts storing, transporting or importing organizations as from storing such substances as this activity should only be carried out by end users.
SFDA pointed out that violations of such conditions may be hazardous to the safety and health of patients , users and the community.
