In Support of Saudization Effort… Saudi Food & Drug Authority Restricted Access of Non-Saudi Representatives & Suppliers to its premises

SFDA banned Companies and Suppliers dealing with it from using Non-Saudi representatives and facilitators to access SFDA premises in order to follow up and track their transactions.
On his part, Mr. Mazin bin Musa Al Ismail, Director of Public Relations & Communication Department, explained that the purpose of this action is not to disturb work flow, but rather to represents SFDA’s contribution in support of Saudization of private sector jobs effort in line with governmental directives and Royal Decrees issued by the Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, instructing to create job opportunities for competent Saudi nationals and in line with the Ministry of Labor efforts to qualify Saudi Youth for the Labor Market and to create job opportunities for them.

 

Mr. Al Ismail added that this direction comes as enforcement of the Council of Ministers’ Decree No. 50 dated 21/4/1415H, stipulating to force Public Sector Organizations not to use Non- Saudis as representatives or facilitators to follow up with government entities, or in similar jobs in the private sector that can be held by Saudi Nationals.

It worth mentioning that SFDA has recently developed a” Visitors System ‘with the purpose of building SFDA visitors database, to schedule visit timing and presence of visitors in SFDA premises. Visitors are required to show their ID’s only once and enter their data in the visitors database in an SFDA effort to migrate to full automation of its systems and transactions.
