The activities of the Second Round of Drug Awareness Caravan, organized by SFDA, have recently come to an end in Riyadh Region. The Caravan targeted a number of cities in Riyadh Region which included Al Kharj, Hawtaat Bani Tamim and Al Dalam

The Caravan comprised activities and awareness programs, held in public hospitals and aimed to raise health and drug awareness among citizens and expatriates in the Kingdom by reaching the targeted categories at their own districts , answering their questions and distributing awareness material such as: Herbal Products and Risks of their use, Obesity, Cologne & Methanol Toxicity , Be Ware of Itarah Compounds, How to protect Our Children from Intoxication, Natural does Not mean Safe, Household Detergents and Intoxication, Risks of Purchasing Drugs and Medical Products through the internet. Forms were distributed to report about drug side-effects and drug quality issues in addition to the method of reporting to SFDA National Pharmocovigilance & Drug Safety Center in addition of provision of drug advise to the citizens
It worth mentioning that The Drug Awareness Caravan was managed by a group of professional pharmacists and will be extended to reach other cities in the Kingdom in the near future
