The Mayor of Madinah, Engineer, Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Hussein extended his thanks and appreciations to t he Saudi Food & Drug Authority for their monitoring and control efforts to ensure security and safety of food , drug and medical devices, and in particular through communication of products reports and alerts to the public.
His Excellency the Mayor has also praised the efforts exerted by SFDA in follow - up and coordination with the respective entities in order to stop promotion of products that proved, through SFDA Laboratories, to be harmful to individuals and the community.
This came through a letter of thanks sent by H.E The Mayor of Madinah to H.E. Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, praising the important role of SFDA in the field of control and awareness
It worth mentioning that SFDA continuously coordinates with the concerned authorities with regard to stopping such deceiving medical alleges and tracking of associated advertisements in the media in coordination with the Ministry of Culture & Information.
