The Saudi Food and Drug Authority represented by a work team from its Drug Sector will conduct a survey study on medicine and cosmetics accompanied by pilgrims coming from abroad to Jeddah and Madina during the period 20/11/1427h to 7/12/1427h.The survey will be conducted in collaboration with the Customs Department.

The Study aims to identify the types of medicine, characteristics of pilgrims that bring in these medicines, countries of origin, quantity of products, reasons for bringing in medications and intention of bringing in medicine whether it is for personal use or for sale. In Addition to avoiding negative effects of bringing in medicine on the health of pilgrims and the Kingdom since some of these medications could have been mixed with banned substances or herbs, where random samples of medicine will be analyzed to ensure the real composition of these medications.
