KSA Represents Arab States of the Gulf in the International Council for Harmonisation

Saudi Arabia represented GCC states in the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH), held in Singapore.
The meeting is considered as the largest meeting in the world in the field of creation, development and review of pharmaceutical legislation.
SFDA participated in the (ICH) for the first time with its new membership after being elected from the council in 2019 mid-year.
Dr. Adel Al-harf, Vice President for drug sector, explained that a number of international drug regulatory agencies are participating to standardize drug legislations and regulations, in addition to take advantage from international agencies experience in relevant fields.
Dr. Al-harf added that SFDA participates in scientific groups for improving drug standards and legislations. It helps to ensure the safety, quality and efficacy of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical. Additionally, it will support the efforts of controlling the clinical studies.
