SFDA Organizes Scientific Program for Sudanese National Council for Drugs and Toxins

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) organized a scientific program in the field of procedures for regulating medical devices and supplies for the delegation of the National Council for Drugs and Toxins in the Republic of Sudan.

The training activities were held during the period from January 8 to January 16, 2023 at the authority’s headquarters and laboratories in Riyadh. It included scientific and technical experiments, a presentation of the regulatory, legislative and technical system for medical devices and supplies, the executive regulations, and an overview of the role of the authority in international and regional technical committees for medical device specifications. The training program included the presentation of (12) technical topics in the field of its regulations and requirements, and an explanation of the mechanism of control and inspection of its factories and facilities, and the conditions for clearance and the issuance of licenses related to it.

It is noteworthy that the marketing authorization issued by SFDA is among the reference certificates of the National Council of Drugs and Toxins of the Republic of Sudan.
