SFDA Detects Food and Cosmetic Products in Two Violating Warehouses in Jeddah and Tabuk

Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) detected more than 750,000 packages of cosmetics and 23,400 kg of food products in two unlicensed warehouses in Jeddah and Tabuk.

SFDA stated that, through monitoring rounds of unknown warehouses in Jeddah, a warehouse was detected that stored cosmetics without obtaining the licenses and without applying the principles of good storage. As a result, the cosmetics were seized and kept until their safety was verified, the facility was closed, and its owner was summoned to complete the rest procedures according to the cosmetic products system and its implementing regulations.

SFDA inspectors also monitored a warehouse in Tabuk that carries out activity without obtaining licenses and stores expired food products. As a result, the facility was closed and its owner summoned to complete the legal procedures in accordance with the food system and its implementing regulations.

SFDA called on consumers to report any such violations by calling the unified number (19999) or via the Tammini app available on the IOS and Android.
