H.E SFDA Vice President for Drug Sector, Dr. Saleh Bawazir confirmed that ‘VICTOZA’ product, with the scientific name ‘LERAGLUTIDE’ is registered in SFDA under No. 11-100-59 since 1432H and a number of shipments of this product were released in the Kingdom, and therefore it is available, on the contrary of what is claimed by various media systems.

SFDA would like to warn all consumers from using Royal Coffee product, produced by El-Dong Tea Slimming Company and promoted as a natural product. The analysis  of this product, conducted by SFDA laboratories, revealed that Royal Coffee contains  Tadalafil drug which should only be used under doctor’s prescription and supervision. The claim of being a natural product is false and misleading. 

The ministry of health prevented (Baly) and (Pohli) creams which are used for skin whitening, and ordered to withdraw them from local pharmacies, Etara shops ( shops for selling spices, perfumes and other traditional products), and even their agents, because they contain a large amount of poisonous mercury. In( pohly ) cream the amount reaches ( 38796) part of million, and (3000)part of million in ( Baly). These two products causes severe damages for their users beside that they are not registered in the health ministry.

 خلصت دراسة ميدانية أجرتها الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء في مدينة الرياض عن واقع المستحضرات العشبية والصحية في محلات العطارة والأغذية الصحية والتكميلية، وذلك كنموذج للوضع الراهن لتلك المنتجات في المملكة.
وقد أظهرت النتائج التحليلية لتلك الدراسة عن وجود عدد من تلك المستحضرات والمكملات الغذائية مغشوش بأدوية كيميائية مشيدة (مركبة) وخاضعة للتسجيل كأدوية، والبعض الآخر مغشوش بمواد محرمة دوليا أو سحبت من أسواق الأدوية عالميا نتيجة لمضارها على جسم الإنسان، ويمكن الإطلاع عليها من خلال هذا الرابط:

The SFDA warns against using (Hydroxycut) products which are manufactured by (Lovate Health Sciences) Company, as they may cause severe side effects on the lever. The company has withdrawn its products from the American markets according to 23 notifications submitted to the FDA since 2002 to 2009. Sever side effects include increase in lever enzymes and icterus which indicate lever disorder and one death case due to lever failure.
The SFDA in the Kingdom draws the attention of consumers to stop using Hydroxycut products in order to prevent any side effects.

Within the program of Drug Sector which seeks pursuing and analyzing herbal products and depending on information about the existence of a product called (Gluco Life); made in Canada and available in local markets; claimed to be a treatment for Diabetes, the product has been subject to laboratory analysis.
