Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) announced in a press release today that it hosted a workshop titled "Supporting Entrepreneurs and New Establishments in the Cosmetics Industry" at the SFDA Training and Conference Center in Riyadh.
According to the release, the authority aims to support entrepreneurs, officials of new establishments, and those interested in local investments in the cosmetics industry. This was achieved through various consultative sessions and multiple workshops conducted across different regions of the Kingdom.

The Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) announced that the abstract submission for Research Day 2024 is still open. The event will take place on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the SFDA headquarters.

Abstracts should align with the SFDA Research Day 2024 theme and cover topics related to human drugs, veterinary drugs, herbal products, food, feed, pesticides, medical devices and supplies, cosmetics, and tobacco.

Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the European professional association Cosmetics Europe (CE) in order to strengthen the ways of collaboration and communication in the field of cosmetics regulation and safety.

His Excellency the CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority(SFDA), Dr. Hisham bin Saad Aljadhey, and his accompanying delegation met today, Monday, with the CEO of the Irish Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA), Dr. Lorraine Nolan.

This visit comes on the sidelines of SFDA official participation at the 4th meeting of the International Heads of Food Agencies Forum (IHFAF) taking place this year in Ireland.  

Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) detected more than 750,000 packages of cosmetics and 23,400 kg of food products in two unlicensed warehouses in Jeddah and Tabuk.
