Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) monitored 274 violations in facilities under its supervision, during 4,891 inspection tours in all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in August this year.
Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) monitored 291 violations in facilities under its supervision, during 4,677 inspection tours in all regions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in June this year.
SFDA stated that it carried out 2,445 inspection tours to food facilities, 280 to pesticides and feed facilities, and 1,535 to pharmaceutical facilities and medical devices, in addition to routine visits and smart inspections.

أصدرت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء ممثلة في قطاع الغذاء بياناً تحذر فيه عموم المواطنين من تناول الجراد الملوث ببقايا المبيدات، حيث ذكر سعادة نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لشئون الغذاء الأستاذ الدكتور / إبراهيم بن سعد المهيزع أن الجراد تتم مكافحته عادة باستخدام المبيدات العضوية شديدة السمية والتي تعتبر سريعة التأثير وقاتلة مع بقاء كميات من المبيد الحشري في جسم الجراد الميت، وبالتالي فأن أكله بما يحمله من متبقيات لهذه المبيدات السامة يعرض من يتناوله للتسمم بها.
