In a move to strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and the Saudi Culinary Arts Commission signed a memorandum of understanding today. The agreement aims to facilitate the exchange of information on food research, align with related projects and initiatives, and share data and statistics.
The signing ceremony was held at the headquarters of SFDA in Riyadh. The CEO of SFDA, Dr. Hisham Aljadhey, signed the MoU with the CEO of the Culinary Arts Commission, Mayada Badr.
The MoU included frameworks for cooperation between the two sides to develop potential high-quality projects and explore opportunities to be implemented in common areas. It also activates the commission's role to ensure best practices in this sector at the local level.
The MoU enables the exchange of information between the SFDA and the commission regarding consumer behaviour, food safety, and health. It also supports joint research and studies related to both sides.
