Cooperating with King Faisal Specialist Hospital, the SFDA is organizing a campaign for blood donation starting from Saturday 8-6-1428H, corresponding to 23-6-2007AD and It will last for three days starting at 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A specialized team will exist with their carriage in front of the SFDA headquarter to have blood from donors whom don’t belong to the SFDA. This campaign comes within the activities of the international day of blood donation and reflects the SFDA concern of patients and injured people and aims to help them since it is a religious and national duty towards the society.
It worth mentioning that in the last year the number of blood donors was (400.000) through (250) blood banks belong to the Ministry of Health in the several regions of the Kingdom. Moreover, the number of donors who had the Legion of Merit was (20.0000).
His Eminence the former Mofti Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Baz – may God have mercy upon him- motivated people to donate and have good intention in order to gain Thawab (Allah's reward).
Allah stated:

For that cause We decreed for the Children of Israel that whosoever killeth a human being for other than manslaughter or corruption in the earth, it shall be as if he had killed all mankind, and whoso saveth the life of one, it shall be as if he had saved the life of all mankind.

Then shall anyone who has done an atom’s weight of good, see it!

And anyone who has done an atom’s weight of evil, shall see it.

In all things, their standard should be, not selfishness, but the good of their brethren, for such good is pleasing to God.
