During a field visit to the Madinah region, H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), inspected several factories and warehouses specializing in the preparation, processing, and storage of meals for pilgrims and visitors to the Two Holy Mosques. The visit is part of the SFDA's intensive preparations for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
Dr. Aljadhey reviewed the inspection teams’ work, highlighting their role in verifying compliance with approved standards across the entire operational chain—from raw material preparation to manufacturing and storage. He emphasized that adhering to quality and food safety standards is critical, particularly given the anticipated increase in demand during this blessed month.
Reaffirming the SFDA’s commitment to public health and food product safety, His Excellency stated that consumer safety remains the Authority’s top priority. He noted that the SFDA will maintain its comprehensive field operations and will not tolerate negligence. Strict regulatory measures will be enforced against any entities found in violation of the Food Law and its Implementing Regulations.
