SFDA Lifts Temporary Ban on Poultry Meat Imports from Russia

Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has decided to lift the temporary ban imposed on the import of poultry meat, table eggs, and their derivatives from the Russian provinces Kostroma Oblast, Penza Oblast and Rostov Oblast.
SFDA explained that the decision was based on its follow-up to international reports related to food safety in the world, and reports issued by issued by the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) reports. The reports stated that the disease was controlled and that no new outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza were recorded.
