SFDA, in co-operation with MOI, closed out a warehouse that violated storing conditions of medical nuclear source generators in Riyadh.

SFDA, represented by the Medical Devices & Products Sector, participated in the 20^th. periodic meeting of AHTS countries and the 19^th. Technical & Scientific Task Forces meeting held during the  period 2^nd. & 6^th. of this month of November.

​SFDA inspectors closed out 3 medical devices and products stores in Al Hassa province due to their non-commitment to the grace period granted to them to correct their situation.

بدأت في مدينة الرياض اليوم الأحد 5 رجب 1435هــ ورش عمل "العلاقة التكاملية بين قطاع الأجهزة والمنتجات الطبية ومقدمي الرعاية الصحية بالمملكة العربية السعودية" والتي ينظمها قطاع الأجهزة والمنتجات الطبية بالهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء لضباط اتصال المركز الوطني لبلاغات الأجهزة والمنتجات الطبية ومقدمي الرعاية الطبية في المنشآت الصحية بحضور فاق الــ 120 شخصاً.

​H.E. Dr. Saleh bin Sulaiman Altayar, SFDA’s Vice President for Medical Devices  & Products, confirmed that SFDA has  imposed stringent controls on Medical Devices  & Products whereby no medical devices and products will allowed to enter the market unless a marketing permission is obtained from SFDA and that the manufacturer must have an authorized representative residing in the Kingdom; and licensed by SFDA.

SFDA exhibition stand was launched in the World Fare of Medicine “MEDICA 2012”, Dusseldorf, Germany, during the period 14-17 November, 2012. The exhibition was visited by huge number of visitors, both in quantity and quality, who were able to stand closely on the advanced and easy services offered  by SFDA to manufacturers and importers and its electronic services and systems. Several flyers were delivered to introduce SFDA in general and Medical Devices & Products Sector in particular.
