​A delegation from Consumer Protection Organization of Oman Sultanate, headed by Dr. Saied bin Khamis Al Kaabi, visited SFDA’s Head Office, today. The delegation was welcomed by H.E. The Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal. A video presentation was delivered during the visit, overviewing SFDA’s vision, mission and mandate, in addition to a presentation about SFDA’s Food, Drug, Medical Devices & Products and Planning &IT Sectors.

H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, CEO of SFDA, received at SFDA’s Head Office a delegation from the Republic of Sudan comprising the Secretary General of the National Drug & toxins Council, Dr, Mohammed Alhassan Imam, General Hassab Alrasoul Babikir, Dr., former State Minister of Health and former chairman of the National Drug & Toxins Council, Dr. Ahmed Al Badawi Hamid,

 The German Ambassador to the Kingdom, Deter Haler, handed ISO 9001:2008 certificated to SFDA “Food Sector”> ISO 9001:2008 was awarded to the sector by TUV of Germany, as the sector has successfully completed and satisfied quality standards requirements, through implementation of quality management measures on all its operations.

​H.E.  the Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, his VPs and Assistants visited Al Hadithah Point of Entry ,Tuesday morning 5/2/1434H. His Excellency was received by the Governor of Al Qurayat Province, Mr. Saleh bin Abdul Aziz Al Jasser and the Director of Al Hadithah POE Customs,  Mr. Zayid bin Atta Allah Al Zayid.

 Praise be to Allah who cured our beloved leader , The Custodian of The Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, after undergoing a surgery at King Abdul Aziz Medical City. People have sincerely and heartily supplicated to Almighty Allah to shed safety on our King  and to bring  joy and happiness to our people and country.

SFDA, represented by Food Sector, has conducted a professional training on’ Nutritional and Health Alleges of Food Products ‘in coordination with GCC Standardization Authority, during the period 24-27/01/1434H (8-11/12/2012), at Al Izdihar Holiday Inn, Riyadh. The first course was entitled: (Nutritional and Health Information and Alleges of Food Products’ 24-25/01l1434H (8-9/12/2012).

H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, CEO of SFDA, attended the launch of Sanofi  drug factory project, owned by Sanofi Aventis Arabia, in Jeddah on Tuesday 13/01/1434H. At the end of the inauguration event H.E. FDA Chief Executive Officer was recognized and appreciated by Sanofi Company of France. SFDA participation in this event comes in line with its policy of encouraging and support of investment in the field of pharmaceutical industry in the Kingdom.

 H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, CEO of SFDA, received Mr. Peter Penndel , Czech Minister of Agriculture and accompanying delegation at SFDA Head Office conference hall this morning.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al Kanhal welcomed the Czech Minister who is visiting the Kingdom upon an official invitation and  wished him a good stay in the Kingdom.

 H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, CEO of SFDA, sponsored Tuesday,13 Moharram 1434H (27 Nov. 2012) Fake Drugs Seminar, organized by the Medical Commission of the Chamber of Commerce in Riyadh. The purpose of the seminar was to focus on several issues related to this type of activity and its impact  on the health and national economy.
