​SFDA Food Sector , represented by Communications & Awareness Executive Department, organized  along  a series of projects, The 1st.  Food Safety & Preservation Awareness Exhibition on 8/8/1433 launched in several Malls in Riyadh and Jeddah. The purpose of the exhibition is to reach out to the largest family communities and make them aware of the most appropriate food safety and preservation practices within and outside home. The exhibition was erected in Garanda and Othaim Malls and then Panorama & Hayat Malls.

In the presence of H.E. the Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Kanhal, H.E Vice President for Drug Sector Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Bawazir and in cooperation with the United States Pharmacopeia Organization, the ‘United States Pharmacopeia’ Workshop activities were launched yesterday, Sunday, at SFDA Head Office.

​H.E Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal, welcomed at his office this morning HE the Ambassador of the Netherlands to the Kingdom, Mr. Ron Striker and the Agricultural Chancellor  Mr. Philip De Young . They discussed the aspects of  mutual cooperation between the two countries and the possible means of strengthening the relationship  in the field of health and food.

“Kuwait  Health Care Technology Systems & Regulations Forum” , organized by Kuwaiti Engineers Association, was held in Kuwait on Thursday 19/6/1433H (10/5/2012) and hosted a delegation from SFDA Medical Devices and Products Sector.

A delegation from SFDA visited yesterday KAUST at Thwal. The delegation was headed by H.E Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed AL Kanhal and  Vice President for Food Sector Dr. Ibrahim Al Mehaizie, Vice President for Drug Sector Dr. Saleh Bawazir, Vice President for Medical Devices & Products Sector Dr. Saleh Altayar and Assistant CEO for Planning & IT, the Director of Projects and Maintenance Dr.

Under the auspice of H.E. Chief Executive Officer of SFDA, Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Kanhal , the 4th.National Week for Protection from Intoxication entitled :” Let’s Protect Them against Intoxication”  was opened by H.E. Dr. Ibrahim bin Saad Al Mehaizie  on behalf of Dr. Al Kanhal.

SFDA has launched it 1st. Version of SFDA Application on iPhone. The Application included information about SFDA and its mandate in addition to introduction of SFDA Sectors: Food Sector, Drug Sector and Medical Devices & Products Sector. The Application observed easy access to News,Alerts and links to online services. The Application also include several videos and awareness and medical flyers.
