His Excellency the Minister of Communication and Information Technology Eng. Muhammad Jameel Mulla delivered the prize of Digital Distinction (Raqmi) – the branch of Electronic Health- to His Excellency the General Manager of Information Technology in the SFDA Dr. Saad bin Uthman Alkasabi during the celebration that was held on the last Tuesday afternoon 24-11-1428H, to deliver the Prize of Digital Distinction 2007, organized by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology in Madareem Crown Hotel in Riyadh.

The SFDA held a reception and congratulatory party in its centre to celebrate the occasion of Aladha blessed Eid. The executive president of SFDA D. Mohammed Alkanhal headed the attendance with a number of high officials and SFDA employees. The Food Sector at the SFDA is going to hold a workshop about " WTO Agreements and their effects on the Saudi Food Imports" on Tuesday 5.2.2008 (10:00 A.M – 12:00 P.M) in the SFDA auditorium. The workshop is prepared by Dr. Mohsen Al Helal, a UN expert, and is going to address the following topics:
- Overview of the WTO
- Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures (SPS).
- Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT)
- Issues of Conflict in Food Trade: How to Settle Them Down.

The Food Sector held a workshop about "WTO Agreements and Their Effect on Food Trade" in collaboration with the UNDP on Tuesday 5.2.2008 at the SFDA office in Riyadh. The workshop instructor, Dr. Mohsen Helal, addressed several WTO agreements with special focus on the Sanitary and Phytosanitary measures (SPS) and the Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT).

نظمت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء ممثلة في قطاع الدواء برنامجاً تدريبياً لنظام تقييم ملفات المستحضرات الصيدلانية الإلكترونية ( EURS is YOURS ) وذلك خلال يومي السبت والأحد 16-17/2/1429هـ ، حيث قام قطاع الدواء بدعوة عدد من المتخصصين من شركة Extedo الألمانية لإلقاء محاضرات تعريفية عن هذا النظام والذي يتم من خلاله تقييم ملفات تسجيل الأدوية المقدمة إلكترونياً، وقد تقدم قائمة الحضور في ذلك البرنامج سعادة نائب الرئيس لشئون الدواء و مدير وموظفو إدارة التسجيل وبعض أعضاء اللجنة التحضيرية.

A delegation of Environment and Health Affairs Committee that belongs to Majlis Ash-shura has visited the SFDA on Tuesday, 10-3-1429H, headed by the committee president Dr. Mohsen bin Ali Alhazmi. The delegation has been received by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Ahmed Alkanhal, the Acting Executive President of the SFDA, sectors presidents and general directors in the SFDA.
