SFDA Drug Sector held a press conference at its premises this afternoon,, about Cosmetic Products Regulations. The Conference was chaired by H.E Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Ba Wazeer, V.P for Drug Sector, in the presence of HE Saleh bin Oudah Al Attawi, Legal Advisor and Director of Legal Department and H.E Dr. Hajed bin Hashan, Director of Medical Licenses and H.E General Supervisor of Public Relations Department Mr. Mazin bin Musa Al Ismail and H.E Pharmacist, Mohammad Al Jalal, Director of Cosmetics Department of Drug Sector.

HRH Prince Megrin bin Abdul Aziz, Head of General Intelligence and honorary chairman of Saudi Health Information Society launched today Sunday 18 Jumada 1, 1431 AH, corresponding to 2 May 2010 G, the activities of the “Saudi e-Health Conference 2010” at the Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh, entitled Health Information Application Systems in the presence of 50 leading personalities in professional health and scientific fields.

أستقبل معالي الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء أ.د. محمد بن أحمد الكنهل بمقر الهيئة معالي وزير الدولة بوزارة الزراعة والتنمية الريفية الأثيوبية وذلك على أثر زيارة معاليه للمملكة لبحث سبل وأوجه التعاون بين البلدين الصديقين فيما يخص تصدير المنتجات الغذائية ولا سيما اللحوم ومنتجاتها للمملكة. وقد أَطلع معالي الرئيس التنفيذي معالي وزير الدولة الأثيوبي على خطط الهيئة التي تهدف في نهاية المطاف إلى الحفاظ على صحة المستهلك في المملكة مع تسهيل حركة التجارة البينية مع شركاء المملكة التجاريين.

The Saudi Food & Drug Authority, represented by its Food, Drug, Medical Devices & Products Sectors, has participated in the activities of the First Week of Riyadh Obesity Combating Program entitled “ Towards Obesity Combating” held at Prince Sultan University during the period 24-28/5/1431AH. The week’s activities focused on the means of Obesity awareness and protection and how to combat and eliminate obesity through healthy and appropriate means, by professionals. It worth mentioning that SFDA’s Stand attracted great number of visitors.

The Saudi Food & Drug Authority, represented by its Food, Drug, Medical Devices & Products Sectors, has participated in the activities of the 3rd. Awareness Exhibition held at Student Residential Campus of Imam Mohammad Bin Saud Islamic University during the period 24-27/5/1431AH. SFDA’s participation comes in line with its numerous activities to increase awareness of both citizens and expatriates.

Saudi FDA has requested all local and foreign drug factories, companies, scientific offices and their agents and drug stores registered or licensed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the field of human or veterinary products, herbal and health products to register ASAP in the drug establishments national register (DENR) through the link :(http://denr.sfda.gov.sa)

The Saudi Food & Drug Authority has participated in the “ Food processing, preparation, packing and hotel facilitates” Exhibition organized by the Ministry of Agriculture during the period 16-19 May 2010 at Jeddah Forums & Events Center in Jeddah.
Participation of SFDA , represented by its Food Sector, in the recent exhibition comes in line with its important role of observing safety of food and its impact on citizens’ health.

عقدت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء الاجتماع التنسيقي المشترك مع مصلحة الجمارك، صباح يوم الاثنين الماضي 10/6/1431هـ ،بمقر الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء حيث رحب معالي الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة في بداية الاجتماع بفريق الاجتماع وحثهم على التعاون والتنسيق من منطلق التكامل بين الجهتين ثم دعاهم لبدأ الاجتماع وتمنى لهم التوفيق في اجتماعهم.

Saudi FDA participated in the 3rd. Poultry Producers Forum organized by the Cooperative Poultry Producers Society in the Kingdom, under the auspice of H.E. Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Fahad bin Abdul Rahman Bal Ghonaim, at Riyadh Intercontinental Hotel, on Saturday 22/6/1431 AH, corresponding to 5/6/2010G. The forum was accompanied with a dedicated exhibition wherein major poultry producers, importers and respective government entities have participated. H.E. Minister of Agriculture visited SFDA stand, represented in this forum by Food Sector.
