To build a national scientific reference by establishing and developing pharmaceutical specifications and technical standards that support the pharmaceutical industry and contribute to a prosperous pharmaceutical economy.

Objectives

• Leadership in developing pharmaceutical specifications and standards at the global level.
• Establish and develop a comprehensive reference for pharmaceutical specifications that ensures quality, safety, and efficacy.
• Incorporate Halal standards into the Pharmacopeia, making it the first global pharmacopeia to systematically adopt them.
• Harmonize national standards with leading international pharmacopeias.
• Support the national industry through the production of reference standards, contributing to the biotechnology localization strategy, and enhancing the global competitiveness of Saudi medicines.
