Saudi Food and Drug Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh to establish pharmacovigilance office, which will be directly connected to the National Pharmacovigilance and Drug Safety Center in the Authority.
SFDA was represented by Dr. Adel Al-harf, Vice President for Drug Sector and the Security Forces Hospital was represented by Dr. Suleiman Al-Suhaimi for the signature of the agreement.

SFDA Analyzed 2972 Cosmetic Products and found out 267 Violated Ones

SFDA specialists had analyzed 2972 Cosmetic products since 2009. Analysis revealed that 177 products were violated in terms of the content and 90 products violated in terms of labeling.
Also, SFDA conducted 105935 audits of cosmetic products listing applications. The number of cosmetic products listed by SFDA reached 67254 while the rejected applications were 1089 and the incomplete applications were 7690.
