This prestigious recognition is based on the results of the Digital Transformation Measurement Index (Qiyas) 2025 Index, which evaluates the commitment of government authorities to fundamental digital transformation standards.

The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, received a group of students from Al Fateh School today, Tuesday, at the Authority’s headquarters in Riyadh. H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), emphasized the critical need for a unified global halal mark. This standard is essential to support the worldwide expansion of the halal economy, a move that will contribute to opening new markets and significantly enhance consumer confidence. Dr. Aljadhey noted that the halal sector is a vast, rapidly growing economic space, driven by rising international demand, and is poised for substantial growth in the coming period.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Portuguese Food and Economic Safety Authority (AESA). The signing took place in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Planning, H.E. Faisal F. Alibrahim, on the sidelines of the Saudi-Portuguese Joint Commission chaired by the Ministry.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has added a new international achievement to its pioneering record in the food sector. The Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC), during its 48th session held from November 10–14 at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, adopted the first international standard for fresh dates. This achievement occurred during the Kingdom’s co-chairing of the working group for international standard development.

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), in cooperation with the Cultural Houses “Al-Taawun Public Library”, one of initiatives under the Libraries Commission – will organize an awareness workshop under the theme “Today’s Awareness is Tomorrow’s Safety.” The event will be held on Tuesday, November 18, at the library’s headquarters in Riyadh, and aims to shed light on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and its threat to public health.
