SFDA Warns from ‘ Moringa’ product, sold via the internet

SFDA warned all consumers from using ‘ Moringa’ product marketed through the internet due to its contamination with Salmonella bacteria.
In a statement, SFDA clarified that its Rapid Alarm & Crisis Management Center received information from the European Food & Feed Rapid Alarm Center advising that Germany recalled the following Moring products: BIO Moringa capsules 360Cap, BIO Moringa Powder 150g and BIO Moringa Powder 300g lot No. ML01-201manufactured by Ramona Cosmaceuticals Pvt Ltd and with expiry date: 30/04/2017 due to its contamination with Salmonella bacteria. The European alarm system pointed out that the Moringa product capsules were marketed And sold via the internet to several countries including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
SFDA advised consumers to avoid buying or using this product and dispose of any quantities they may have in hand, pointing out that it did not release such product. In addition SFDA is taking the necessary action to recall this product from the market and prevent its entry to the Kingdom.
