SFDA inspectors detected 41 tons of expired meat and fish in a warehouse in Dammam. In a statement, SFDA declared that its inspectors captured a warehouse that stored expired imported meat in Al Khalidiya 2 Section in Dammam, out of this quantity is 38 tons of frozen red and white meat and 3 tons of frozen fish and shrimps, pointing out that part of this meat was expired before more than one year and is prepared for distribution to the local market.

SFDA added that it is now completing the process of taking the necessary disciplinary action against the violating warehouse.​​
