SFDA Issues Warning on Country Butcher Boy Beef Pepperoni Due to Listeria Contamination

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has issued a warning regarding Country Butcher Boy beef pepperoni. This product, manufactured in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and packaged in 250-gram containers, has an expiration date of 01/03/2025.
Laboratory tests have confirmed that this product is contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacterium that poses a serious health risk to consumers.
The SFDA urges the public to avoid consuming this product and to dispose of any units they may have in their possession. The Authority has taken steps to remove the contaminated product from the market and is pursuing regulatory action against the importing company.
The SFDA emphasizes that violations of the Food Law and its Implementing Regulation can result in severe penalties, including imprisonment of up to 10 years, fines of up to 10 million SAR, or both. The SFDA reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the safety of food products for all citizens and residents and will continue to take necessary actions against violators.
