The SFDA Warns Against some Skin Whitening Cosmetics Containing Mercury

Within the program of following up marketed materials; the SFDA, represented by its drug sector, made tests for several cosmetics,(skin whitening), marketed locally, (29 samples from the beginning of the year) and results revealed that three products contain different rates of Mercury, and they are:
1. ST.Ives
2. Stillman's
3. Pohli
The existence of Mercury in such products is banned and incompatible with safety standards of cosmetics issued from Standards Organization; which forbids using it with any percentage according to resulted health damages on liver and kidneys as the body absorb this substance by skin. The SFDA warns against using these products and it called specialized authorities to withdraw them from markets.
