Mawhiba visits SFDA

A student delegation from “Mawhiba Program” visited SFDA on 4/8/1433H where students met with SFDA Sector employees and listened to an introduction program about the Sector’s functions and various divisions as well as its role in assuring drug safety. The students were also introduced to drug registration cycle and general information about pharmaceutical industry. Students also toured the Executive Department of Pharmacovigilance and Crisis Management Department where they received information about drugs and evaluation of their quality and efficacy.
At his part, the Deputy Dean of Students Affairs of King Saud University, Head of the Program, Dr.Abddul Rahman bin Abdulla Al Itre, explained that this visit comes in view of the practical work of “Dawauna” enrichment Unit to introduce the students to the advanced technologies owned by SFDA in the field of drug using the latest international devices. The visit comes in line with the visits conducted by the Unit to the various professional authorities and centers in its scientific and research fields.
It worth mentioning that SFDA Drug Sector, represented by Consumer Awareness Department, aims to introduce the concerned delegations to SFDA business in drug field and spread drug awareness. During the last two months, similar visits were conducted to SFDA by students from King Saud University and King Saud bin Abdul Aziz University for Heath Sciences.
