The 7th international biopharmaceutical symposium, held in the city of Beijing in the Republic of China during the 7th-11th of December 2006, concluded its seventh session. Participating in the symposium were 27 Asian and European countries, in addition to representatives from biological products manufacturers and vaccine producers from most countries around the world.

The 4th Saudi Conference on Food and Nutrition, sponsored by His Excellency Dr. Hamad AlManei, Minister of Health concluded it's activities on the 10th and 11th of December 2006 and took place at King Fahd's Cultural Center in Riyadh under the theme "The Future of Food and Nutrition in Light of New Advancements". The conference was organized by the Saudi Food and Nutrition Society and attended by specialists and professionals in the food and nutrition fields.

اعتبر الدكتور محمد بن احمد الكنهل الرئيس التنفيذي المكلف للهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء ميزانية هذا العام ميزانية طموحة لم يسبق لها مثيل في تاريخ المملكة، مشيراً إلى أنها تناولت جميع مرتكزات التنمية في الوقت الحاضر والمستقبل فهي بحق ميزانية نظرت بنظرة شمولية إلى جميع مقومات دعم التنمية وضمان استمرارها في المستقبل.

The SFDA held a reception and congratulatory party in its centre to celebrate the occasion of Aladha blessed Eid. The executive president of SFDA D. Mohammed Alkanhal headed the attendance with a number of high officials and SFDA employees. During the meeting people exchanged greetings and congratulations in this connection wishing to the KSA continuous glory and asking God to repeat the Eid with prosperity and faith for the Islamic and Arab nation.

According to the vision of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority which seeks being a regionally supervising and pioneer authority in food, drugs and medical instruments fields and its desire to offer professional and distinctive services that contribute in protecting and reinforcing health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia the SFDA headed to train its employees and give them several training courses in needed fields. Twenty nine employees work in several sectors of the SFDA have ended a training course of English.

شاركت الهيئة العامة للغذاء والدواء ممثلة في قطاع الغذاء خلال موسم الحج بفريق من موظفيها من المختصين في مجال الغذاء. ووفقا لمصادر خاصة فإن الهدف من المشاركة الاطلاع عن كثب ومعرفة الأساليب المتبعة في الرقابة على سلامة الغذاء في المشاعر المقدسة.

تحت رعاية معالي وزير الصحة الدكتور حمد بن عبدالله المانع تنظم اللجنة الطبية بالغرفة التجارية الصناعية بالرياض ممثلة باللجنة الفرعية للمكاتب العلمية لشركات الأدوية ندوة عالمية بعنوان ( أثر اقتصاديات الدواء على نظام الرعاية الصحية ) في يوم الاثنين غرة شهر صفر 1428هـ الموافق 19 من شهر فبراير 2007 م في مدينة الرياض, ويشارك في الندوة متحدثون من داخل المملكة وخارجها حيث من المتوقع أن يحضرها عدد كبير من المهتمين بالمجالين الدوائي والاقتصادي لما تحضى به سوق الأدوية بالمملكة من أهمية كبرى كونها قد تجاوزت حاجز الخمسة مليارات ريال العام الماض

قام الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة العامة للغذاء و الدواء أ.د محمد بن احمد الكنهل بتدشين موقع البوابة الداخلية للهيئة اليوم في مقر الهيئة في حفل أقيم بهذه المناسبة بحضور نواب الرئيس ومدراء العموم وعدد من مسؤولي وموظفي الهيئة وعدد من الإعلاميين.

The employees of the SFDA have completed the intranet portal  training courses, in which the general vice- chairmen, the general directors and the SFDA employees have been shown the most distinctive characteristics of the new site and its benefits. The courses lasted three consecutive days in the SFDA location. In addition, folders that contain user manuals of the new site and compact discs – which have interactive shows of these users manuals- have been distributed.
