The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) will participate in the Global Health Exhibition 2025, set to take place at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham from October 27 to 30, under the theme “Invest in Health.”
The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the SFDA, is effectively integrating artificial intelligence technologies into drug regulatory work, thereby enhancing drug safety and quality. This effort is in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which focuses on innovation and the use of modern technologies to achieve the greatest impact.
The CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, held several meetings with international counterparts on the sidelines of his participation in the International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA) Summit 2025, held in Amsterdam from October 21 to 23.
H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), affirmed that Saudi Vision 2030, which outlines an ambitious future for the Kingdom, is built on three key pillars: a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation. He noted that the Kingdom has launched several national programs to help achieve these goals, including the Health Sector Transformation Program, which aims to enhance human health, improve access to healthcare services, and shift the focus from curative to preventive care.
H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), extended his heartfelt congratulations, on behalf of all the SFDA employees, to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, H.R.H. Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz on the Saudi national football team’s qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Hack4SaferPlates Hackathon concluded today, marking a major milestone in promoting food safety innovation across the Near East and North Africa (NENA) region. Hosted by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), the event was organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) as an initiative from the FAO Regional Food Safety Research and Innovation Network, with the goal of fostering innovative and sustainable food safety solutions. The two-day hackathon, held at the SFDA headquarters in Riyadh, was attended by H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, the SFDA CEO.
In the presence of H.E. Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, CEO of the SFDA, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) concluded the “Waedoon” Program, which was launched in October 2024. The program offered specialized training courses to build leadership skills with the participation of 26 professionals of specialists and department heads across the SFDA's sectors.
